Timothy and William Stewart created Sustainable Solutions DownUnder Ltd in 2009 in response to a unique proposal: to represent the distribution of a new eco-friendly coffin in New Zealand. Having formal education in Landscape Architecture and in Science, the Natural Legacy coffin had great appeal, combining aspects relating to both disciplines.
Our goal as a company is to meet, uphold and surpass expectations that exist to remain environmentally and socially responsible, whilst encouraging innovation and choice as we believe the Natural Legacy coffin stands to do.
We act and perform in our business with Sustainability in mind and actively seek solutions or alternatives whilst trying to support New Zealand economically and environmentally. We use only recycled materials for all of our marketing, and we hope to focus on web-based communication with clients to minimise our impact. We focus on the detail which is why we are impressed by the Natural Legacy Woollen coffin; it is a culmination of design, comfort, taste, practicality and with the nature of funerals in mind. It is a coffin that takes into account the present needs of both funeral directors and their clients, whilst addressing the environmental demands of the future.
